PhD Program

Well aware that new professional profiles in nanomedicine, already consolidated in the United States for instance, are yet to be developed in Italy, the CEN Foundation also envisages to potentiate the Italian higher education offer in this field, bridging the worlds of medicine and technology also from this perspective.

Coherently, the "Start-up Packages and PhD Program" project potentiates the existing PhD program managed by Università di Milano and SEMM (European School of Molecular Medicine), both among the CEN founders. The CEN finances seven PhD grants for students who will have the possibility to carry out their research studies within CEN partners' research groups. The PhD program lasts four years; the first two grants have been assigned in 2011 and three more in 2012.

Currently, CEN is studying the possibility to extend its training initiatives.

As for the research groups of the "Start-up Packages and PhD Program" project, also for the PhD grants funding is shared between CEN partner institutions and the Regione Lombardia through the funding program Fondo per lo sviluppo e la coesione 2007-2013 ex FAS.
